That is an interesting bunch of photos. Everyone looks so tired.
I can’t argue, with this particular photo set, that a bunch of those guys look gay. In general, the French do care a bit more about fashion than we do here in the States. Typically, I associate fashionable men with being gay, but it is my observation that at least where I live, this is true. I do hate trying to generalize, though. Honestly I should dress a notch up and have been working on that.
I have gone to the south of France for vacation the last several years, and the guys there look much more like, well – guys. I think this is akin to comparing Americans living in NYC to those from the Midwest – it is an urban vs. rural thing more than anything. Most of us in the Midwest outside of Chicago and maybe some other cities dress practically, rather than giving fashion trends a nod.
It’s not just clothes, Dan – but you know it. Of course, we both also know that these photos – result of a data-selection-bias. The author just shoot interesting people, and they happen to look like that.
Huh, never thought I would be chastised for being intolerant – from Midwest!
