- When I receive new gmail first ding-dong comes from IPad, not from the laptop. I haven’t mastered the former enough to turn the option off. In a middle of the night, when both are off, I hear that unmistakable sound that reminds me: I might be sleeping but the net never is
- 48F and windy today; grey clouds push each other off low skies, petals from magnolia tree, haven’t even reached their full maturity, are rudely thrown away. The heat in apartment is already off, I wear a sweater and socks, and am still cold all the time. My hands are icy but thermometer says I have a fever.
- Was holding up for a few days on sheer will till this morning broke up completely into full flu. Second time this month. My whole body aches, every muscle, every joint; it feels as if surface area of my skin is one big black-n-blue. Sinuses, coughing, headache – the usual joys. Tomorrow I am scheduled to come for a final meeting with architect, Client and GC and present CD for a hi-rise lobby renovation: this nuisance couldn’t been less timely.
- One pleasantry still remains: I have been napping all day. How nice my bed is, with flannel sheets, camel-wool blanket and four down pillows…I might stay there forever reading 3 pages a time from brick of a book by Vigoleis.
