Wassily Trusov, Ruins of a Grand Temple

This one is [after many years of exile in a dark portfolio case] on my wall now. When I open my eyes in the morning it’s the first thing I see.

This abstract print (’74), by Yannick Balif, is in complicated technique of raised color etching on watercolor paper (“Aquatint ETCHING w CARBORUNDUM”, says gallery’s description). This is what I found about her on the net:

Yannick Balif is a listed French graphics artist, born in Longwy, France in 1927, but primarily active in her career in Paris. She studied under Johnny Friedlaender and attended the Ecoles des Beaux-Arts. From 1977 to 1984 she taught at the l’Ecole des Arts Decoratifs De Paris. Her work is represented in the Cabinet des Estamps of the Bibliotheque Nationale.

Вот этот абстрактный принт(-74г), французской художницы Янник Балиф, выполнен в сложной технике цветного рельефа на акварельной бумаге (“гравюра акватинта с карборундом”, значится в описании галереи).
Всё, что я смогла найти о ней: “родилась в 1927г в Лонгви, работает в Париже, училась у Дж. Фридландера и в парижской Школе Изобразительных Искусств. С 1977 до 1984 преподавала в парижской Школе Декоративного Искусства; её работы выбраны для коллекции эстампов в Национальной Библиотеке”.
